Telehealth

The help you need wherever you are

Telehealth has many other names (e.g., telemental health, telemedicine, E-health, etc.) and is the practice of behavioral health using a telecommunication system to provide clinical services at geographically separate locations. Services are often delivered using interactive, HIPAA-compliant video conferencing programs. Many people believe that telehealth services are not as effective as in-person psychotherapeutic services. Research, however, has determined that the two can be equally effective.

Before determining if telehealth services are appropriate, we first have a consult, which will include a conversation(s) with the person about the factors that may impact its efficacy (e.g., presenting concerns, history, motivation). If we agree that remote-based services are appropriate, then subsequent sessions are scheduled. In some circumstances it is agreed upon that the first few sessions take place in person before beginning remote-based services.

Experienced telehealth therapists

We have years of experience providing telehealth services to our clients even before COVID. After telehealth has been identified as a viable medium, we have a high degree of success at developing quality rapport and ultimately accomplishing the goals and objectives of the work.

Please let us know if you have any questions about engaging in the service. We would be more than happy to provide additional information.
